Scented Candles Have Nothing On The Real Thing

In the Whitney household, those scented candles just can’t measure up to real balsam.

I do applaud the scientific effort of trying to capture the scent of balsam in a bottle, only to be released by the striking of a match and flames meeting with a colored wax.

But it is not the same.

Maybe it’s the years of wreath making in me, but I can tell the difference. This drives Holly crazy, by the way. When we’re invited to a home, we walk through the door and within seconds I can tell if it’s true balsam or a scented candle.

Sniff, sniff. Candle.

Some may argue that a candle, while not the perfect essence of balsam, last longer. That may be true but that’s a big reason that we make our Whitney Wreaths double sided.

A double-sided wreath is fuller, stays fresher, and lasts longer.

That’s means more of that rich, natural balsam scent in your home through the holidays and – in most cases – beyond.

Because, you never know. I may show up at your home.

Sniff, sniff.
